Casey Trubo

Senior Staff Program Manager

After getting his degree in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Casey got his start in medical device development at Stryker Endoscopy. Over his 7-year tenure at Stryker he held technical roles in Regulatory, Quality Engineering, and Design Engineering. Casey then moved into management with 6 engineers directly reporting to him, closing out his tenure the R&D and launch of a novel laparoscopic surgical tool all the way from the initial idea. Casey then transitioned to work in the Global Health space for Equalize Health, where he managed the neonatal CPAP project from start to the formal testing stage. During his 5.5-year at Equalize Health Casey also developed, tested, and iterated on a product development process to optimize project selection for the maximum impact per dollar invested.

Casey brought his extensive medical device development and program management experience to Openwater in April 2021.
