About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Openwater, you will be responsible for the development of the high performance data pipeline for our next generation medical devices. You must be a proactive, strong problem solver, and a creative engineer who can function independently while working with cross functional groups. We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual who takes initiative in a constantly-changing working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Development, testing & validation of high performance software.
Perform hands-on debugging of hardware-software systems when bugs and/or malfunctions occur.
Interface with a cross-functional team of engineers, scientists, and medical professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. (or beyond) in Software Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
At least 5 years of industry experience developing software for high complexity electromechanical devices.
OpenVX development, OpenVX app development, or equivalent development experience.
Working experience on TI SoC like TDA3 or TDA4 with MCU, DSP, ARM64 cores, or equivalent (e.g. nVidia, Xilinx)
Working experience with a camera sensor data path
RPC, IPC in-depth knowledge.
Medical experience / IEC 62304 experience preferred
