About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Openwater, you will be responsible for the development of high performance printed circuit boards for our next generation medical devices. You must be a proactive, strong problem solver, and a creative engineer who can function independently while working with cross functional groups. We are looking for an extremely energetic, self-motivated individual who takes initiative in a constantly-changing working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Creation, bring-up, testing & validation of high performance printed circuit boards.
Perform hands-on debugging of hardware-software systems when bugs and/or malfunctions occur.
Interface with a cross-functional team of engineers, biologists, and medical professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. (or beyond) in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
At least 5 years of industry experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
Familiar with board level analog and mixed signal design.
Lab skills: familiar with basic test equipment - e.g. oscilloscope and multimeter (hands on work required).
Familiar with board bring up and test.
Familiarity with serial communication protocols - I2C, SPI, RS 232.
Proficient in Altium designer.
Experience or familiarity with high speed serial signalling and camera sensors a plus.
US work authorization required.
